MIM’s Global Real Estate and Agricultural Investments maintains a portfolio invested in commercial real estate and agricultural mortgages, as well as real estate equities. In addition to sourcing and managing these investments, the groups are responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key industry contacts and referral sources. The mortgage portfolio and equity portfolio units are organized according to specialty, and they actively manage MetLife’s portfolio of mortgage loans and equity investments in agricultural, office, apartment, retail, industrial, and hotel properties. The portfolio units are responsible for overall portfolio strategy, pricing, transaction approval and credit approval on new loans, as well as the active management of the overall mortgage and equity portfolios. Real Estate Investments sources and manages commercial real estate investments through seven regional field offices in the U.S. and International field offices in London, Tokyo, Mexico City and Santiago.
MetLife Investment Management seeks an extremely resourceful Administrative Assistant to work for the Regional Directors and staff in Germantown, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant who is dependable, responsible and demonstrates a positive work ethic in a professional, time sensitive corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all administrative duties with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings for the regional office management in the office.
- Meet and greet high-level clients and other visitors.
- Coordinate travel plans, hotels, and car service.
- Prepare travel & entertainment reimbursement reports for the regional office management.
- Create and edit presentations, transaction memos, acquisition memos, business plans and spreadsheets.
- Handle/resolve escalated internal and external issues.
- Handle critical/confidential issues and information.
- Prepare and track office budgets, marketing budget, process accounts payable and manage external office vendor accounts.
- Accountable for staff attendance tracking and office supply inventory.
- Willing to work as part of a team and support other Administrative Assistants in this or other regions, as needed.
- Ability to fax documents, answer telephones and take detailed telephone messages.
- Create and maintain an accurate, organized, and efficient filing system and filing room.
- Work as part of a team and support the teams with various tasks, as needed.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested.
- Timely responses to all correspondence: phone, email, mail, and online messaging (e.g., Teams).
- Maintaining working hours during normal business hours to maintain business continuity.
- Support employee onboarding processes and answer any questions new employees may have.
- Assisting the team with IT issues and resolving ticketed requests.
- Timely processing of wire requests.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Highly PC proficient, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be diplomatic, thorough, customer-service-minded, detailed and professional.
