responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute domestic and international shipments of scientific materials and biological samples, strictly adhering to global compliance and hazardous materials regulations.
- Prepare and review essential transport documentation, including bills of lading, international customs forms, and shipping labels.
- Collaborate with internal laboratory teams, freight forwarders, and commercial carriers to schedule, track, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory of specialty shipping supplies and keep meticulous digital records, including tracking logs and delivery confirmations.
- Proactively resolve shipping delays or logistics bottlenecks in direct partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
qualifications:
Required:
- BS degree with 2-4+ years of experience in biologics sample processing or specialized biopharmaceutical shipping.
- Demonstrated expertise in domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and hazardous materials handling.
- Proficiency with logistics platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and conduct continuous walking or packaging for prolonged periods (2+ consecutive hours).
