- Lead sales and account management activities for a designated book of business and territory
- Create and execute strategic account plans to drive new sales, renewals, and upsell opportunities
- Oversee product quote activity and manage the end-to-end sales process within assigned accounts
- Manage and grow broker and consultant relationships as the primary benefits resource
- Develop cross-channel solutions by positioning MetLife’s full portfolio of group benefits, including Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, Voluntary Worksite Benefits, and MetLife Legal
- Coordinate with internal partners to support case implementation, post-sale service, and ongoing client needs
- Deliver annual stewardship and strategic planning meetings with key accounts
- Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor by sharing industry trends, marketplace insights, and competitive intelligence
- Monitor and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and growth strategies
- Recognize and shape profitable opportunities while anticipating client and market developments
- Active Life & Health insurance license, or the ability to obtain within three months of hire
- 5+ years of experience in insurance or related sales experience
- Strong relationship management, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Demonstrated customer-focused mindset with exceptional listening and problem-solving capabilities
- Strategic and creative thinking skills with strong financial acumen and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% to engage with clients and brokers in market
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Proven experience managing broker/consultant relationships in the small to mid-market segment
