The Security Guard is
responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the CSRI center while also assisting with clerical tasks, monitoring
surveillance cameras, and engaging in participant outreach. This role ensures the safety of staff, clients, and visitors, while also
supporting administrative functions and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for program participants.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Non-Exempt,
Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work
and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour.

Location: CSRI Moreno
Valley Center.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Typically Monday through Friday 8:45AM to 5:15PM. Some
evenings and Saturdays are required.

First Review Deadline

This position will remain open until filled.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Center Manager, the Security Guard will work
independently to:

Security & Surveillance:

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only
    authorized individuals enter.
  • Conduct continuous security patrols both inside and outside the building to identify and address
    potential safety concerns.
  • Monitor security cameras to detect suspicious activity and report anyincidents to management.
  • Respond to disturbances, emergencies, or security threats in accordance with organizational protocols.
  • Maintain a log of
    security incidents, visitor check-ins, and any unusual activity.

Clerical & Administrative Support:

  • Assist with front desk duties, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate
    records of visitor sign-ins, deliveries, and participant attendance.
  • Support staff with filing, data entry, and preparing reports
    as needed.
  • Ensure all security-related documentation is updated and properly stored.

Participant Outreach &
Engagement:

  • Provide guidance and assistance to participants as they enter the facility, fostering a supportive and
    welcoming environment.
  • Communicate program policies and expectations to participants in a professional manner.
  • Assist in
    disseminating program information, event details, and resources to clients.
  • Report any participant concerns or issues to case
    workers or appropriate staff.

Some travel to other CSRI centers as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Professional security, and/or professional
    clerical positions.
  • Other:
    • Valid Guard Card.
    • Basic clerical skills, including data entry, and
      record-keeping.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Familiarity with surveillance camera systems and security monitoring
      practices.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse populations.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Preferred
Qualifications

âEUR¢ Experience working in a social services or reentry program setting. âEUR¢ Bilingual proficiency is a
plus. âEUR¢ Knowledge of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
