Fulton State Hospital provides services to individuals with a wide range of disabilities and is comprised of three complexes: Nixon Forensic Center is a state of the art high security facility that opened August 1, 2019. NFC houses 300 beds and four treatment programs that treat clients with diverse clinical presentations. Hearnes Forensic Center houses one program with 24 beds and is preparing to open a second program with an additional 24 beds. The Sexual Offender and Rehabilitation and Treatment Service program houses 125 beds.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

• Supervise and evaluate approximately 75 Security Employees within the Nixon Forensic Center; Hearnes Forensic Center and SORTS; develop expectations, monitor performance and work habits as well as provide assistance with problems as they arise.

• Work with Staff Development to ensure training completion as well as developing and directing a continuous in-service training program.

• Monitor client transportation and work with fleet management systems.

• Manage hospital security systems to ensure the safety of all staff and clients.

• Direct/perform regular rounds to ensure that Security staff are on duty/attentive to their duties and equipment is functioning and in proper order.

• Review and evaluate staff reports.

• Work with other sections to ensure smooth operations within the hospital.

Qualifications - All you need for success

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
• Five or more years of relevant experience (law enforcement, corrections or hospital security) and one to two years of supervisory experience
